COQUITLAM LOCATION
1. Beginner Quilting- 'Log Cabin' - By Leng Yip
Wednesdays – October 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th (4 Sessions) 6:00PM– 9:00PM
Class Fee: $96.00+ $18.69(Book) + Supplies*
Required Book: Start Quilting with Alex Anderson
This is a beginning level course intended to help students learn the basics of rotary cutting and piecing. Students will also learn techniques for basting, quilting and binding their quilt. Sewing Machine Required.

2. Intermediate Quilting- Using a 10° Ruler- 'Placemats' - By Bonnie Rozander
Thursdays – October 21st and 28th (2 Sessions) 6:00PM– 9:00PM
Class Fee: $58.00 (Includes Pattern) + Supplies*
This course will help you add a unique flair to your dining table or create a beautiful gift set for a friend or loved one. Basic rotary cutting and quilting skills are a pre-requisite. Sewing Machine Required.

3. Intermediate Quilting- Memories of Vermont - By Leng Yip
Wednesdays – November 3rd and 10th (2 Sessions) 6:00PM– 9:00PM
Class Fee: $59.00 (Includes Pattern) + Supplies*
Required Pattern: Memories of Vermont
This course will introduce techniques for curved piecing and machine appliqué. Finished quilt is 43” x 49” which is suitable for a wall hanging or a small lap quilt. Basic rotary cutting and quilting skills are a pre-requisite. Sewing Machine Require

Wednesdays - September 22nd, 29th, October 6th and 13th (4 Sessions) 6:30PM– 9:00PM

This is a beginning level course intended to help students learn the basics of rotary cutting, strip piecing techniques for the perfect 1/4” seam and block construction. Students will also learn techniques for basting, quilting and binding their quilt. Sewing Machine Required.

2. Beginner Sewing- 'Handbag' - By Irene Collingwood
Thursdays – September 30th, October 7th, and 14th (3 Sessions) 6:00PM-9:00PM
Class Fee: $72.00 + Supplies*
Learn the basics of sewing while creating a unique handbag. Students will learn basic sewing techniques such as sewing buttons and curves; clipping corners, making loops and working with fusible fleece and interfacing. Sewing Machine Required.

3. Intermediate Quilting- 'Chrysanthemum' Table Runner - By Bonnie Hwang
Saturday – October 23 10:30AM-4:30PM
Class Fee: $62.00 (Includes Pattern) + Supplies*
This course is for students who have mastered rotary cutting and quilting basics and would like to try something different. Students will learn freehand cutting, and sewing without pinning to create a unique, personalized table runner that can be easily customized for a longer runner. Sewing Machine Required.

4. Keep Quilting- My First Sampler Quilt - By Bonnie Hwang
Wednesdays - October 20th, 27th, November 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, December 1st and 8th (8 Sessions) 6:30PM-9:00PM
Class Fee: $160.00 + $14.95 (Book) + Supplies*
Required Book: Keep Quilting with Alex Anderson
This class is for students to take their beginner quilting skills to the next level. Students will learn how to construct a sawtooth star 3 ways, matching triangle points perfectly, painless diagonal piecing, using the 'magic number' technique to create different sized blocks. Students will also learn how to layer, quilt and bind to finish their quilt. Sewing Machine Required.

5. Intro to Knits: Mix and Match Loungewear - By Irene Collingwood
Thursdays – October 21st, November 4th, and 18th (3 Sessions) 6:00PM– 9:00PM
Class Fee: $72.00 + Supplies*
Worried about working with knits? This beginner level course will help students become more comfortable sewing knits while creating a loungewear outfit that consists of a knit top and woven bottoms. Sewing Machine Required.

Registering: To register for these sewing classes:
- Come into the store/give us a call to let us know you would like to take the class*.
- Pay your class registration fee.
*Please note that your spot in the class can only be secured with the required registration fee (this must be done in person).
A minimum of four people must be registered in a class for it to take place. Students will be notified 2 weeks prior to the first session if a class is cancelled. If the class is cancelled the registration fee will be full refunded.
We recommend waiting until a class has been confirmed before purchasing required class supplies.
