With our friendly and helpful staff, Fabricana is an ideal destination for people learning sewing and design. Each year we are visited by thousands of secondary students looking for fabric for their first project (a pair of boxer shorts!) or more advanced sewing projects, elementary students taking private sewing lessons, and students from post-secondary institutions studying fashion design. Many of these students have generously offered to display their projects in our stores as a wonderful source of inspiration to the rest of our customers and other up-and-coming seamstresses.

Westwind School
Congratulations to the "Lend a Hand" Club at Westwind School for completing a wonderful quilting project that will help families in need.

Jill’s Sewing School

Delta Secondary School Tailored Jackets

Comfort Quilters
Fabricana celebrates the accomplishments of Comfort Quilters. Take a look at these inspiring quilts created by Comfort Quilters. These quilts will be donated to various community care-providers. Fabricana is proud to have donated many of the fabrics seen in these quilts.

Fabricana Staff Quilt Show
In spring of 2005 Fabricana celebrated quilting with a two-week quilt event. Part of the festivities included a Staff Quilt Show that traveled to each of our three locations. The show was a great testament to the amazing (and award winning!) talents of the women of Fabricana.

North Delta Secondary School
Some of the students at North Delta allowed us to display these creative projects including some of their prom dresses!

Kwantlen Dress Projects
Second year students of the Kwantlen Design and Technology Degree program created these unique dresses. The students were each responsible for design/illustration, pattern drafting and garment construction. Congratulations on a great job by these up-and-coming designers.
